Live music and DJ-
Columbus’ own Yolkfellow will perform a set at 11pm, and DJ Captain Lonesome will be spinning vintage and rare soul so come ready to dance.
This year, Columbus artist Dan Gerdeman will be creating a devotion alter for late CD101 DJ Andy Davis “Andyman” as the Por Vida DJ booth.
Fine art-
Twenty artists create work that is their response to death, mourning, and dealing with loss. This is a group show curated by Columbus artist and Por Vida creator, Kat Marie Moya. You will see a large variety of interpretive works;
personal, political, metaphorical, and varied mediums that create an exclusive exhibit for Por Vida each year.
Wall of Remembrance-
Another unique feature to Por Vida is our mural wall that fills with photographs, stories, and special messages throughout the weekend to introduce and share those we have lost, and have come to honor at Por Vida.
Bring copies of photographs and your stories to hang on the Wall of Remembrance.
Sanctuary Room- Columbus, Ohio artist Brian Reaume creates a “sanctuary room” for Por Vida each year. His installation work is unlike anything you’ve ever seen, generating a themed sanctuary that provides an experience to the visitor. These temporary spaces are a sin to miss.
Por Vida merchandise-
Each year, Por Vida creates a little something special for our guests to get a piece of memorabilia from our unique event. This year, THOUGHTCO will be printing the Por Vida IV “Skelecada” design on your shirt or theirs. Bring a shirt for $6, or purchase one of theirs with the Por Vida IV image for $12. Also available will be limited edition posters, lino print cards and banners designed by the Por Vida IV committee.
Food and drink-
Pattycake Bakery provides PVIV with themed sweets, Vegeliscious Food Cart and Jr’s Taco’s truck will be out front! In other words, bring your appetite!

Pattycake Bakery will provide Por Vida sweets and all will be able to try their hand at sugar skull decorating!
CD101 will park their ice cream truck out front so be prepared to satiate the sweet tooth!
Por Vida merchandise will be available. This year we offer exclusive kids T’s with one of our “Skelecada” logos on front. THOUGHTCO will offer printing on your shirt or theirs for $6 (yours), or $12 (theirs). Limited edition posters, cards and banners will also be available.
Por Vida’s all ages day is designed to introduce the idea of honoring those we have lost in a comfortable, open-minded and creative environment. Por Vida offers several crafts for the younger crowds to enjoy.
There will also be a coloring contest for 12 and under. There will be a $1 entry fee. Winner will receive a surprise gift bag and a photo with their winning piece on our site.
Por Vida IV fine art will remain on exhibit for all to view and enjoy as well as the Wall of Remembrance, so be sure to bring copies of photos, stories and notes to share.
